Kathryn and Miles had been best friends for a very long time. They are senior students and are pretty popular at school. Kathryn is not allowed to have a boyfriend yet because she needs to study, so is Miles. Marco Gumbert is the basketball captain at school and is the 'campus crush'. Kathryn had the longest crush on the guy. But little did she know, Marco is Miles' crush, too. Kathryn found out that he and Miles were exchanging flirty texts to each other. After that, Kathryn ignored Miles.
Then a guy named Daniel Piers started studying in their school. He's a cousin of Miles whom Kathryn never met. He became the point guard of the basketball team because of his excellent skills. Marco found out that his no-big-deal fracture before is now getting worse and he needs to rest from basketball for two weeks. Daniel Piers took over and his teammates realized he is much better than Marco.
Kathryn and Daniel met in a very embarrassing way. Because of that incident, they became very close friends. They shared things about each other and never told each other that they were slowly discovering a very dramatic past between them. And that's when things started to get better.
