The Lighthouse

An intriguing story about a writer who lost everything and decided to become a lighthouse keeper on a remote island. The former lighthouse keeper was happy to flee the island, for it was a cursed place inhabited by mysterious creatures that he called "sea demons".

"Sometimes the Lord takes from us what we value most in this world!"

"Don't leave the lighthouse after sunset, and always keep something heavy against the front door, and never, you hear me, never let a gun out of your sight!"

"Why would the lighthouse keeper need a gun?"

"This is a cursed place, Señor Williams. There are sea demons living here, and I assure you, they don't like people showing up on their land."
