Ethan lives in the house he grew up in across the street from his university, but now alone by himself. The last several months had been rough, with mainly his childhood friend, Jesse, and his karate instructor, John, giving him any support and having him work part-time teaching at his school. But now he's starting college, hoping to graduate in electronics engineering, and finds himself offering his house as meeting space for his freshman Engineering Design project team: Avery, who seems more comfortable doing ranch work than calculus; Mason, who seems happy to be far away from Houston; and Naoko, who seems lost away from her traditional Japanese home life after living in Dallas for only one year. Then there's the pink-haired girl, Kat, who joins them for studying rather than staying with her own group. And we can't forget about Madison, redheaded and thirteen, who adores Ethan as he teaches karate, and wants to put him on the mat, and maybe sweep him off his feet. In short, this is my answer to the harem anime, but with more American sensibilities.
