Read about the life of a German soldier during WWII at the Atlantic wall. This story is a mostly true story, but due to even the minor changes that I made it must be listed as fiction.
P.S. If you have read this elsewhere just know that I am the original author and always will be. Anyone else that has posted this story has been given direct permission from me but will be told to unpost it. Please after reading tell me wether or not to continue a series on German soldiers in different battles.

Well... with most if not all Valkyria Chronicles books in a lobido state (or having an identity crisis), I decided to start a book about the German Armed Forces (and NATO) fighting in a alternate reality, where 3-dimensional warfare is in its infancy. Here we are, a continuation of my previous work "Goodbye Curly Head", which sprawled into quite the epistle (but it wasn't really a letter, it's just long :P). Summarized in the most basic way possible, it's a story about a twenty-year-old Kazdel Civil War veteran who goes to Lungmen and has some troubles acclimating to the steady life presented before him. Sprinkle in a too-good-to-be-true offer and a freshly established logistics company, and you get Andy trying to make it big for as long as his deteriorating mental state lets him. I'd say it works as a standalone story for anyone who doesn't want to bother reading the first part. For now, at least. It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory. Henry enlists in the military against his parents' wishes and throws himself into the life of a British soldier in Flanders. But it is far from what he expects: Henry's fantasies of righteous battle fade into the grim reality of gruesome death and shell-shock. He and his fellow soldier Jacob must help each other survive the cruel trenches, but it is no longer certain that either of them will return to England alive. Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront.
