Kilan is on the run. From men he knows all too well in a forest he does not know well enough. And running into that tree didn't help. But when he wakes up, the forests are the least of his concerns. Kilan finds he has stumbled upon a castle, hidden deep in the woods, filled with servants and young masters who feel like they might just be more then they seem. And there are the thorns. Thousands upon thousands of thorns that cover the grounds and yet only cover one tower - why? And what about the dreams? The girl in the rose room? She seems so real, almost familiar, and yet he can only see her when he sleeps within the castle walls. She isn't there and he has not the time for a Sleeping Beauty. He has other things to contend himself with, in reality - in the waking world. His most prized possession is gone. A story book that means the world to him is lost within the forests - or worse, someone has their hands on it. Above all, it must be found, he has no time for a girl in dreams and the curse placed upon her - he writes fairy tales, he does not live them. He must find the book and be away from the strange Rose Castle. But someone has already noted his presence and has taken an interest in him. In the land of Grimm, there was a kingdom where lives a Princess who's beauty outshone everything, even the sun. One day she decided to play with her golden ball near a well... We all know what happens next right? She bounces her ball into the air and fails to catch it so it rolls into the well. She begins to weep and out comes a talking frog who asks her to be his companion in return he will retrieve the golden ball. The two made a promise but of course, she breaks it. Who would want an ugly talking frog as a companion? Well, there is one person. The Prince's servant, Faithful Henry. Long before the Prince was turned into a frog, Henry was happy to be his servant. He would wake up early to make him breakfast, and stay up late at night to help with his princely duties. What will happen to Henry when he finds out the prince is missing?

See, when I told the story to the Grimm brothers, they just had to change it! We'll make it more popular, they said. An anthology of popular fairytales. With a Wicked Twist. All based around the ship: Gelphie (The stories are mostly based off the Brothers Grimm versions. Or whatever the original is. Not the Disney versions. And I don't own Wicked)

Rosalia is used to enchantment. With a brother who freed a beast and a friend who slept for over a hundred years, coming across enchantment doesn't phase her much. At least, it doesn't phase her when she's not directly dealing with it. But when she meets a talking frog and he ends up coming home with her, that changes things. Of course, after having been on the run for her life, meeting a talking frog wasn't as much of a surprise as one would expect on that particular day. But what does The Frog want? Does he really just want to spend time with her? And a better question, HOW can this frog talk? Besides that, there's him. Mr. Ernest Cliffwood. Charming and attentive and new, his sights apparently set on Rosalia but she's seen that playboy attitude from other rakes of the Ton and knows to be wary even if everyone else sees a marriage on the horizon as The Season gets into full swing. And there's one more person - more mysterious then Mr. Cliffwood. He appears and disappears in and out of the waltzing crowds as easily as if by some enchantment. What are his intentions? Who is he? Who is Mr. Cliffwood.
