Moonfire Academy (NaNoWriMo 2023)

Cressida Thornwood, a young werewolf on the cusps of adulthood, faces an unexpected challenge when vampires are granted admission to Moonfire Academy to prove they can coexist without bloodshed. Tensions escalate when Malakai and Renin Nightshade, the children of the man who murdered Cressida's father, enroll.

Each time their paths cross, the twins attempt to incite Cressida's wolf spirit into an attack, granting them legal grounds to retaliate with deadly force. Cressida must wrest control over her wolf spirit and endure it until her graduation.

All her plans are jeopardized when her alpha is assassinated. Just as the werewolves prepare to leave the academy, all exits are sealed off by a mysterious forcefield.

Despite their desire to rip each other's hearts out, Cressida and Malakai agree to join forces to uncover the murderer before they, too, meet a similar fate.
