    Victor Salouese is son to town's priest, Marcus Solouese. His father's and mother's main occupations were to hunt vampires and exorcize evil spirits, until Victors mother mysteriously passed when he was only 7. 13 years later, he now helps his father around the church and lives a fairly peaceful life, besides his lingering trauma and his daily night terrors.
    
    The Royal Winter Solstice Banquet and Masquerade Ball has just been announced, and Victors father is invited to attend. People were going missing north, near the old, abandoned palace, and Father Marcus is asked to investigate.
    
    Victor and his father go to the old palace, but only Marcus returns to their town of Sallowood after their journey.
