Being quirkless in America wasn't easy, and moving to Japan at the age of eight hadn't made things any better. I met Izuku Midoriya in elementary school, a quiet boy who, like me, was quirkless. We became fast friends, united by our shared struggle. But our friendship couldn't shield us from the cruelty of our classmates. For six years, the taunts and beatings continued. The term "quirkless" felt like a brand that marked us as inferior. One day, after the last bell rang, we parted ways. Izuku took his usual shortcut home while I decided to lose myself in the local arcade. I spent hours there, immersed in the pixelated adventures. It was late by the time I finally decided to leave. The streets were quiet as I made my way home, I was just a few blocks away from my apartment when the sound of a gunshot shattered the silence. My heart raced as I instinctively moved toward the noise, curiosity overpowering my sense of fear. In a narrow alley, I saw a man stumbling, his face a mass of scar tissue. Blood dripped from his wounded body, He was being pursued by Snipe, a pro hero renowned for his sharpshooting skills. The man staggered over to me, placing a trembling hand on my head. A split second later, a gunshot rang out, and he collapsed, his lifeless body falling to the ground. Snipe had taken his shot. While the other boy was given a gift more peacefully, tho has to train to stabilize it. Now the two conflicting quirks are in the possession of two friends, now destined to battle against one another until one is dead. A fate I hope to avoid as best I can while bringing in a new era, free from False Heroes like Endeavour, and the corruption of the Hero System that breeds hatred and Villains due to quirk prejudice.
