Miyo and Rema go to investigate an ancient temple deep in the Mong tribe's rain forests. Because the Mong tribe is still bitter about Gai having not stuck to Charming Gold's plan, Spin has to sneak Miyo and Rema into the tribe lands and takes them there, however when they get there, the temple's interior raises more strange and unanswerable questions.

The story is set in a distant future, where a group of teens are mysteriously arrive in a giant, stone maze. Not only has their memory been wiped, but they also have no indication of who they are or why they have ended up in this position and what means they must take to escape. Ashley in 3rd in charge in the glade along with one of her closest friends Newt and their leader Alby her job makes her help run the glade. She's been the only girl in the maze since she first arrived. Ashley has accepted that her life will probably always be the maze but then she meets Thomas the new greenie in the maze. As Thomas learns about this new reality with the help of Ashley they eventually discover the secrets of the maze. This new world is soon turned inside out. The two teens must confront these imminent struggles, while also attempting to solve the grand puzzle of the maze.
