Cassie Sheppards was always quiet and reserved, keeping to herself, talking only when needed to, hiding amongst her books instead of partying like every 16 year old her age.
She'd accepted she was the ‚weird loner' in her little Town of Woodwalk. She'd accepted that there was no one on her side she could trust, no one she could talk to when things got hard at home, no one she could know longer than a few seconds without scaring them off.
Except for her older sister, sarah.
So when she watches as sarah is dragged into a car on a gas Stations videocamera footage, she takes it upon herself, along with an unexpected friend, to find out who took her sister, and uncover the secrets of the town she thought she knew well.
But will she be able to accept it?

The only person she'd never truly known, or could connect with. No matter how much she made sure people didn't bully Cassie, no matter how many times she panicked hearing from her mother Cassie ran away again.
It was the only person she cared for, yet couldn't crack.
So when she's pulled away from her normal life and locked into a dark room, unable to escape, her only thoughts are how to get out and protect Cassie.

Summer Jacobs knew full well about her town’s tradition. Every year at the end of the summer, a party would be held on school grounds without the knowledge of the parents or the teachers. She wasn't born with her white hair, it turned white from the torture and stress her father put her through. Her eyes were different. She was born with large, blood red eyes. Of course no one knew that she hadn't been born with white hair, not even the boy she was basically dating, except a boy little older than her named Lawliet. He was like a brother to her. Lawliet was given a caretaker named Watari and Skye, one named Yamato. She lived her life as normal as she could and climbed the ranks as a detective; even surpassing L, though she didn't know who he actually was. As it's well knows, shinigami liked to gamble to entertain themselves. The king himself gambled his own life and power on her and a few years before she went into Wammy's. The king bet his that she wouldn't risk her life to save a stranger and used his death note to put her in a situation that she could save a child's life by risking her own or continue walking and not give them a second glance. She saved the child and gained his death note, the shinigami eyes, healing and self-healing, the power to bring back to dead, and knowing whenever someone has been killed using a death note. She had not to try draw attention to herself, since others couldn't see the shinigami she talked to. As the shinigami queen it was hard to be normal. She traveled for cases and decided to dye her hair inky purple when she was in America. She returned to Japan to go to school and observe the Kira case.Complete
