A Prequel To My Savior

"How do you sign your name?"

I raised my left hand, my position towards him. I then made a 'V' with index and middle finger then made my hand into a fist. Making the next letter, I halfway unclenched my fist to place my thumb into the middle of my palm making the letter 'E'. The next letter was easy, the letter 'L'. Crossing two fingers together to represent the next letter to be 'R'. My personal favorite was next, clenching my fist and holding my pinky straight up to show 'I'. Lastly, I ended my name with another 'E'.

"Valerie, right?"
I nodded my head with a smile.
"But, since it's not always convenient to spell my name every time, I've shortened it to my names meaning," I signed, going slow enough so he could read my hand motions.

"What is it?"

"Brave"
