    Bakugo and Deku were friends since childhood, but in high school Bakugo started treating Deku badly and bullying him. However, Bakugo was in love with Deku, though he wouldn't admit it, and Deku was unaware of it. Both are now in UA High, though Deku is still quirkless and in general studies.
