Noctis Finite: Silent Symphony

Vi is an impulsive farm girl living outside the capital of Lyrewood with her broken family in a home nearly as run down as they are. One day she leaves home to search for her brother who left years ago once he snapped and couldn't take their parents' abuse anymore, and ends up finally seeing the world outside the bubble her parents kept her in. Poverty, Plague, Distrust, Hate. Everywhere she looks she's confronted with the awful state of the world and its literal and metaphorical monsters. Her illusions about the religion of Noctis being good for its people are shattered when she realizes the cause of these issues, and an impulsive decision leaves her homeless with a target on her back put there by the reigning theocracy. She slowly discovers what her brother did with his life after leaving home when her brother's best friend finds her and promises to bring her to the only city free from Noctis Finite's clutches. The hard part? Surviving the journey there.
