Potential, Wasted or Used?

There were two siblings. They're always working together and cherished each other deeply. Though, they're abused by their parents. They have huge potential, and got sold to one of the slayers that promised that'll kill the evil with the two. The two worked hard but the older one went to the wrong path and was blinded by jealousy. The younger one continued to try harder.
