Maeve James and her best friend Serena Daniels take a month long vacation to Los Angeles to unwind and find new scenery for a new book she's been working on.
    
    Lake Thorne was apart of the most popular boyband in the early 2010's, Fifth Point. He's visiting his son from a pervious relationship in Los Angeles before the school year starts for his son, Finn.
    
    One day in late July Maeve and Serena are going to a secluded beach a LA local told them about. Turns out, the same beach happened to be close to Lake's beach house. Lake and Maeve only meet after she gets hit in the head by a soccer ball, courtesy of Finn. Ater that the story writes itself... or does it?
