Veya is a young adult in London. She's had bad experiences in the past, but they're all behind her now that she's living her dream life: her ideal job and chance to see the world.

Veya soon learns, however, that she can't leave past issues with her ex-lover unresolved, and with the help of mysterious, handsome Oliver Grey, this seems attainable. He offers to help, already knowing everything she tried to run from. Veya doesn't care for him whatsoever at first, but after a while she finds herself falling for him.

Then disaster strikes, and Veya is once again alone and in a bad situation. She must use her wits and discretion in order to survive in a place she would have never dreamed she would be.
