Aubrey's transferring schools, again. But this time her father is done with her reckless behavior and ships her across the globe to Portmanville a small forest populated town that has eyes watching you from every corner. Upon arriving she meets Conan Hayes or Mr Hayes, a substitute soccer coach whose protective nature is beyond a student teacher relationship, but there's something about Conan that's animal like and the more Aubrey notices the more she questions this feeling, this pull towards Conan.
