Lenore is different from everyone else she knows. For one thing, her parents keep her apart from the world. The first thing one notices when they see Number 3 Privet Drive is the fence. It's tall and black, with intricate designs in the links. There are spikes on the top. No one has ever successfully climbed it.

The second thing is that she's given everything she could ever want, except for the things she wants more than anything her parents could give her.

The third thing is her magic. Yes, magic. she is a fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She doesn't know where her magical blood comes from, as both of her parents are Muggles, or people with no magic in their blood.

She doesn't know much of anything, actually- only what she sees. So what happens when she finally meets Harry Potter, the boy she's heard so much about for the past four years, and who's lived just next door the entire time?
