What does 30 billion really look like in terms of people? Poverty? Starvation? Or a chance to make another buck? I suppose you'll have to ask the right person.
Kendaliah "Kennie" Ross has been thrown into a true nightmare. At the age of 19 she's been chosen by random like 50 million others to participate in the nightmarish game of Retrorsum. The game created to stop the growth of the population, in the form a battle royal.
Will she make it through thirty rounds of angst or, will she die trying?

Exile: The Book of Ever ni JamesCormier
30 parte Kumpleto
Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

There is nothing as powerful in life as your first love. When this happens after clacking to a strange new world where people reverse age-let's say it's complicated. Demalynn is a seventeen-year-old girl from a small town who one day hears a loud 'clack' and is transported to the planet Saffire. Naked. Then things really get weird. No child has ever been born on Saffire; clackers make up the entire population. All people who clack under thirty reverse age: each year they grow younger. As an awkward teenager plagued by panic attacks who dabbles in comedy, Demalynn just wants to go home to be re-united with her family. Citizens over thirty grow old and are forced to mine the mineral that powers giant cooling stations to keep the planet habitable. Citizens solve disputes with gladiatorial combat. The prophesy of The Coming In Saffire's time of greatest need, a child will be born to a special woman, the Gravidarum. The child, who has no father of this planet, will be known as the Unum, a child to lead Saffire. The Helper will battle to keep the Gravidarum safe until the Unum is born. The people of Saffire have been waiting to see The Coming fulfilled. Demalynn assembles a group of clackers to get her home, the most important of which is a fellow clacker: eighteen-year-old Aiden. It is not long before Jago, the ruler of Saffire, learns that a woman on Saffire is pregnant and he unleashes all his power to prevent the birth. Jago will not give up power. Demalynn is surprised to find out she is the Helper, but is astounded to learn the identity of the Gravidarum. Demalynn must battle to stay alive and fumbles towards the realization that Aiden is much more than a close friend. She is certain, with the certainty that only a seventeen-year-old can possess, that Aiden is her only true love. Demalynn is desperate to find a way back home until she must make a choice: stay with Aiden on Saffire or go back home and re-unite her family. There's no place like home.

They were born from the stars, but the world refuses to let them stay. It has been three years since the Genesis Flares, the solar phenomenon that gave birth to Astrans: beings with abilities beyond human comprehension. Some see them as miracles, others as abominations but to those in power, they are a threat that must be controlled, exploited, or eradicated. Fear spreads like wildfire, and war is inevitable. Among the displaced and the hunted, a survivor fights to carve out a future for her people, refusing to let them be erased from history. By her side stands the one who saved her, a sister in all but blood, a friend who has vowed to protect her, even if it means keeping dangerous secrets. As alliances fracture and loyalties are tested, they must navigate a world that has already decided what they are: enemies. In the heart of the conflict, two minds once dedicated to progress now wrestle with the weight of their own creations. One, a scientist bound by failing health, seeks to undo the greatest mistake of his life before time runs out. The other, an engineer thrust unwillingly into war, struggles between duty, regret, and the burden of being the only one left to fight. Lines blur between vengeance and justice, survival and sacrifice. The choices they make will determine not only the outcome of the war but the future of the Astrans themselves. Before the war, before the fear, they were all the same. They were all stardust once.

In the aftermath of a devastating Third World War that has left civilization on the brink of collapse, the remnants of the world's nations have reformed into new power blocs in a desperate bid to control the dwindling resources that are key to their survival. From the ashes of the old world order rise the Siberian Dawn Collective, the United African Association, the United North America, the United South American Pact, the coalition of European nations and the Korean-Japanese Empire. In a radical decision to determine control over the planet's scarce resources, these emerging powers agree to a high-stakes battle royale, a brutal contest where only the strongest nation will secure the means for its people's survival. Enter Ethan, Sinn, Bruce, Ahmik, Carly, Riley, and others-a diverse group of individuals from different backgrounds and nations, each with their own unique abilities and virtues. They find themselves thrust together in the midst of this global conflict, not just as representatives of their countries, but as reluctant warriors battling for their own survival and the future of their people. As the story unfolds, we journey with this band of unlikely heroes through trials of redemption, episodes of profound pain, and moments of enlightenment. Their experiences offer a window into the complexities and nuances of a world torn asunder, where moral certainties are blurred and the fight for survival often comes at great personal cost. Through their eyes, we explore the depths of human resilience and the bonds that form in the face of adversity. Their struggles are a microcosm of the larger battle raging across the globe-a battle not only for control of physical resources but for the soul of humanity itself.
