The new tournament

Six months have passed since the Barden Bellas won the World Championship of a Cappella in Copenhagen, Denmark. Beca Mitchell, the rebellious and wickedly smart former leader of the Bellas, is still working at the Residual Heat Record Label and has moved in with Jesse, her adorkable boyfriend of almost four years. Although struggling financially after her father's death, Beca's dream of becoming a Music Producer is as strong as ever, and so are Jesse's musical ambitions. It seems like their years as a Cappella singers have been left in the past, but one day they receive an invitation from Gail Abernathy-McKadden to compete in a new tournament: the Ultimate National Team Championship.
With only two months to assemble a group with only the best a Cappella performers Barden University has ever seen, Beca faces a new challenge as she also prepares for taking a big decision regarding her professional life.
