Who is the "Pawsome 8" anyway?
They're the heroes of Rufus city. They're kinda like furries. . . or half furries. They're normal-looking humans with eye and hair colors based on their animal. They have the ears and tails based on it too, but nobody knows who they really are. How do they hide?
They are normal in the first place, but they hide a chibi floating small animal in their bags and they wear their special rings. They call the animals secretly when trouble happens, which is being sent by Dr. Shade, and the animals go inside the rings and ta-da! They're heroes now!
Dr. Shade is a mean and greedy guy who sends real trouble to Rufus City since he's real hungry to take the Pawsome 8's rings and become the most powerful and take over the world. . . in a bad way. . .

Astraeus, a baby dragon, escapes from his old coven and stumbles upon a little shop that he spends months stealing from and hiding in to survive. The witch and familiars who live there are... strange. They know he takes from them but don't put up different wards, don't do things that could hurt him. They know that he has a hide out in the aster tree, that he lives close-instead of getting rid of him and forcing him to move, they visit him. Talk to him, leave him things, they're kind. Different. Whether or not Theodore Aspen (Theo, to his few friends) wanted to get dragged into the conflict between his old home, Terra, and his new one, Earth, that doesn't matter. He thought that by becoming an exchange student to Earth with his lupine best friend, Alaina, he would be able to leave his past as an orphan behind and find a new family. The second part happened. The first didn't, and now he's going to find himself on the front lines of the war that he wanted to flee, and it's all due to a few mistakes that he made (mostly, not realizing that his principal on Earth wasn't quite human; no, Mister Marlboro likes Camels, hates Terrans, and oh, wants them all dead. He's going to try all he can to make sure that that happens, and it's Theo and co's job to make sure that it doesn't.) They'll have to stay alive first, but so far so good, thankfully.
