'So here's the deal' he crosses his arms, smirking at me. I watch him lean against my locker trapping me beneath.
My breath catches in my throat.
His breath tingles my neck and I gulp.
'You let me use you as a rebound' he suggests, then stepping back,'and I make sure Rachel and her cronies don't bother you. Okay?'
The corridor is eerily empty, the only sounds emanating from the Arts classroom.
There is a part of me that refuses to give into his will, to fend for myself. But I remember her taunts and her continuous efforts to embarrass me and I clench my teeth bitterly.
'You have yourself a deal' I tell him.
For a minute surprise flickers in his brown eyes, and I purse my lips.
