I adore poetry, but I hate those modern poetry books that include no poetic meter, alliteration, rhyming, thought out syllable stresses, anything like that, they're just stream of consciousness that hit enter just enough times that they look like poems. At that point, they're just prose. Beautiful prose, don't get me wrong. But please don't call it poetry

Hot take: If you're trying to reassure someone who has convinced themselves that you genuinely don't care about them and haven't care about them for a while, don't include a statement that makes it sound like you care about someone more than them. Even if it's true. You can tell them that when they're not having a crisis over whether or not you care in the first place
