Roleplaying:: To act and speak as if you were another person, for entertainment purposes. Usually it consists of fictional characters, with 2+ people participating in such activities. Many different fandoms, games, and series are what such roleplays would be from.

Fandom:: A subculture and/or made up of fans of a particular subject (ex: a game, series, book, etc..), where people who share a particular interest in something can interact with eachother, conversing, sharing ideas, entertain eachother with things related (or not) to this subject in an usually friendly manner.
