   "that was very clever of you."  she leaned close with interest,  smiling idly at the story like she thought it sounded pretty typical of siblings.  she had no idea,  obviously,  'cause she didn't have any.  but...  she did have a cousin,  and  *she*  was way more annoying than stealing toys!  "nah,  that just sounds like young sister duties!  that's so cute."

            "Our ma thought it was a great idea," she rolled her eyes fondly, smiling to Eva. "Jon and Jane. Awesome. Well, I took advantage of that—" she raised an eyebrow, a mischievous look in her eyes. "I took my brother's toys, all marked with a 'JC', and I copied his handwriting to prove the toys were actually mine... I think I was the worst little sister ever. Possibly."

  "that's so weird,"  eva chuckled,  taking the paper with the skirt on to give it another fond look before putting it on the desk.  "i'd totally put your initials on the belt if it didn't make people think i was dating your brother,"  she teased idly,  leaning into the touch and tilting her head to press a kiss to her wrist.  "no more lavender marriages!"

            "Long story," she waved her hand dismissively, playfully. A grin never leaving her face. "I was bored at uni. I paused it for a while, to try new things. To see if fashion was what I really wanted. I picked up random classes in every art I could— I can just play silly songs! ...What they teach for beginners. But... I can *act* dramatically as if I was playing Beethoven to impress you," she laughed, then— kissing Eva's temple.

   she was already shaking her head when jane started,  laughing and writing it off before she went any further.  but,  well,  *then*!  "the piano?!"  eva perked up suddenly,  smile widening as she studied jane's face.  "hold on!  since when??  i can't believe you'd—  wow.  i do wanna hear that."

            "If you play the flute..." she insisted playfully, casting a glance her way and grinning, before looking away— trying to be all charming with every move she made, and with the way in which she spoke to her. "I'll play the piano for you," she turned to look back at her, then, slowly— biting her bottom lip to prevent herself from grinning again. She felt ridiculously silly whenever she tried to sound flirty!
