I understand why she might not want to publish the original version—I’d probably feel embarrassed if I were in her shoes too. However, I thought it was incredible when I first read it. It was such an unforgettable experience, truly a defining moment to be part of. Of course, it’s her decision if she wants to keep it private, and I respect that. Still, I wish we could read it again because I don’t think anyone criticizes or dislikes it as much as she does.

i wanted to make a rewrite of brooklyn baby because there was so many things i left out in the original story.
for example:
- eren being in a past relationship
- fixing the plot-holes
- Y/N’s past and why she’s the way she is
- eren’s struggles (ie. his moms illness)
and the list goes on.
i was 16 when i wrote brooklyn baby and my teenage brain didn’t know how to express my words yet, but since i’ve worked in my writing, i think this will make the story better.
there will be scenes left out mainly because it doesn’t fit in with the plot, but all the major plot-points will still be in this story.
