AceF, you still here…?

@pilotish-pilot2 Well, first off I'm beyond glad to hear you've enjoyed what I've written, and I'll have to check out Afterburn when I'm off work. As far as my aviation background, you could say that I've been influenced by a variety of factors that have fueled my desire to become more intimate with topic of aviation and aircraft. One of which being that my father is a retired Strike Eagle pilot, so naturally he's been a wellspring of knowledge and inspiration to me, which has further prompted myself to get involved in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. As far as switching goes, I'd just say that it's really up to personal preference. You'd mentioned that Wattpad seems too serious, while one of the main reasons I switched is because, in my opinion, the general literacy of stories and authors on Wattpad leaves much to be desired. That's not to say Ao3 doesn't have bad writers, but I just feel like when it comes to fanfiction as a whole, the quality of individual works strikes me much more professional, which is easier and more enjoyable to read. I'm glad my story has inspired you, and honestly, I look forward to potentially starting it up again as I figure out how I want to restructure things. Many thanks!

I'm also thinking of switching to AO3. I like the website WAY better on Wattpad, but I feel like the fan base and community is better on AO3. Also, Wattpad seems too serious for fanfiction and there's too much crap romance on here. Any thoughts? Should I switch?

Nice to hear from you Ace! I love Steel and Scales, I even found on AO3. Looks good... can't wait for more.
I loved something about that story, it made me want to make my own. I have to ask one question. Steel and Scales had that pilot feel, I was curious if you had an aviation background at all.
Being an aspiring pilot and avgeek, I found myself missing the Steel and Scales updates. That's why we're writing Afterburn, which is inspired by Steel and Scales but with our OCs.
So here's to you, for writing Steel and Scales. We couldn't have done it without you, and I hope to see Steel and Scales taking off in a new direction. If you ever need reads or someone to yap in the comments, I got you.
Keep the blue side up, amigo.
