In the heart of a bustling city, Josephi, the enigmatic Ringmaster of The Red Valley Circus, moved with a sinister purpose. He had been captivated by the presence of an individual, your muse, whose essence resonated with the enigmatic aura he himself exuded.  Josephi was a shadow in plain sight, a crimson figure amidst the mundane urban sprawl. As he stalked this unnamed individual through the labyrinthine streets, his piercing blue eyes followed their every move.

               He  only  smirked  at  her  playfulness  .  Leaning  back  in  his  chair  as  he  drank  in  her  words  .  He  took  mental  notes  ,  something  he  would  scribble  away  at  in  his  journal  the  moment  she  left  .  While  it  was  still  fresh  on  his  mind  ,  in  his  head  .   "  Is  that  so  ?  I  didn't  think  there  was  a  way  to  not  get  a  favourite  colour  .  I  thought  it's  more  of  a  preference  than  a  want  .  "  His  eyes  narrowed  just  slightly  ,  focusing  on  that  last  part  to  her  sentence  .  Curious  as  to  why  she  felt  the  need  to  add  something  so  irrelevant  to  the  conversation  .

               "  Well  actually  I  was  looking  more  for  a  simple  introduction  .  Like  your  name  and  maybe  your  favorite  color  "  he  would  tease  ,  attempting  to  ease  the  tension  between  them  .  "  But  you  may  start  wherever  you  see  fit  .  "

               "  Actually  I  don't  know  you  at  all  .  Only  your  name  and  now  your  face  .  I  tend  to  steer  away  from  peaking  at  patient  files  until  after  they  get  the  chance  to  introduce  themself  to  me  .  I  like  to  think  my  own  thoughts  before  I'm  told  what  to  think  .  So..  "  Victor  leaned  forward  in  his  seat  a  bit  ,  straightening  up  his  posture  .  "  care  to  introduce  yourself  to  me  ?  Or  must  I  learn  all  about  you  from  a  little  paper  ?  "

               "  Yeah  ,  this  old  place  could  use  an  update  couldn't  it  ?  "  a  soft  chuckle  would  escape  his  lips  .  His  eyes  scanning  the  old  library  he  had  turned  into  his  office  .  He  decided  to  focus  on  what  she  would  talk  about  ,  get  her  open  to  conversation  to  start  with  .  He  knew  it  would  take  time  but  he  had  all  the  time  in  the  world  .  So  he  convinced  himself  .

               Hostile  ...  His  eyes  watched  her  mouth  ,  her  body  ,  her  eyes  .  With  every  word  she  spoke  he  took  in  more  of  her  .  A  small  smirk  spreading  on  his  face  ,  a  little  delighted  by  her  behavior  .  She  seemed  fun  ,  unboring  . A  case  he  would  soon  love  to  break  open  but  he  knew  that  would  take  time  .  The  good  news  was  he  was  always  in  it  for  the  long  game  .  "  I'm  sorry  to  hear  that  ,  Miss  Griffin  ..  we  don't  have  to  talk  if  you  are  not  comfortable  to  do  so  .  We  can  simply  sit  in  silence  as  the  clock  ticks  for  the  next  twenty-seven  minutes  .  It's  my  job  to  make  you  comfortable  enough  to  talk  to  me  ,  I  will  not  force  your  hand  "
