@-CIMUTCHO ✨ Motivation ✨ Maybe let yourself go partially down a rabbit trail? Like the Queen said above maybe decide what you want to be the background lore and that should give you some ideas for fleshing things out. Keep things in your general tone for the story but maybe let yourself explore a person or situation more than you normally would. It can be something that adds fullness to the story without directly contributing to progressing the storyline. It can be more of a slice of life moment and can exist within the story. Just some ideas if you want to change it up.
For example: they all are finding y/n to be distracting. You could show when the distraction hits, how it hits, if it is noticeable to the others, how y/n interprets it, etc. Have Bonten have a y/n is a distraction meeting/support group to not start eating y/n. They definitely get together to gossip and trade information about her anyway. Have them discuss strategies to keep her in the dark. Show their (incorrect) perspective on how she interprets things. Compare her happy-go-lucky attitude to her actual thoughts and conclusions about what is going on. It would make it interesting over time to see the difference in Bonten's and her perspective and the misunderstandings caused due to it.
