That's another argument I hate. I can't think of a single teenager out there that is actually "mature" - and that's not supposed to be a drag of teens or anything. That's just how it is. They're emotional, impulsive, and vulnerable. Especially teenagers who have low self image/low self esteem. I don't think people understand how easy it is to take advantage of an emotionally vulnerable teen girl who has a low opinion of herself. You just have to act like you "love" and "appreciate" her more than anyone else, even herself - which is textbook grooming. But, I digress.
          
          The "they're mature and know what they're doing" is typical MAP rhetoric. Big yikes.

Y i k e s . On a serious note, how fucked is the media, society, and the patrirachy that this type of shit has been normalized for young audiences. A lot of the time, kids can get taken advantage of, or just witness media that paints pedophilia in a positive light, and they'll never question it until much, MUCH later. Sure, it's funny to see these Literal Children try to come up with some sick burns, but the fact that they're all defending it in the first place is very unsettling.
