My principal got Covid, and we took absolutely no safety precautions except wearing a mask when we entered the building and putting them back on as we left (so like, only 10 minutes out of the whole school day), we used hand sanitizer when we entered the building and at lunch we washed our hands, and basically nothing else. Everybody at my school is so .... in your bubble. They don't understand the concept of personal space. We never social distanced except for a while at lunch, a d that wasn't even socially distancing. Nobody ever was 6 feet apart. So like, we are all in quarentine for 2 weeks. Got the news today. Terrified of doing zoom with my devil teacher. Probably not gonna pass 8th grade now. And the worst part is that my family works there and they were really at risk. I'd hate for me to be the reason someone in my family died... but we didn't do the safety precautions. It's not that I didn't want to, but with all those students not doing them, it would be a worthless attempt. If somebody has gotten covid, we are all at risk because people don't understand bubbles at all. I hope my remaining 1 braincell of sanity doesn't fly out a window.
