I swear, the show was like "oh it's platonic" but is it? Season 2 is literally him brushing off his ex-wife to solve the murder that they had originally tried to solve together because he trusted Miller more with it (and it like ultimately ended up being the right choice because Ellie finds the missing pieces of evidence) and like season 3's got straight up dialogue where it's just "Alec still hates the whole town but came back because he missed being around her" like seriously?
