Kraven is heavily inspired by Dante from devil may cryb

            Thx friend I think it would be cool for a demon hunter that is a demon himself to fight a fallen angel 

However there was something he did not know, you see Angelica was not taken to bell to punish kraven that was a bonus. Angelica knew kraven would outlive her so before he was cast out she made a deal with the demon who face always seemed to change, the timekeeper. In exchange for extended life he would collect her soul. And when he collected she became the new time keeper and us kraven's greatest enemy. 

Wracked with grief the dawnbreaker chose a new name kraven. And he learned how to hunt his own kind able to firm any weapon he can imagine he became quiet efficient at killing demons. 

But that not the only punishment he endured his one true love was made to be terminilly ill. She did not last long and due to the demonic nature of her illness her sould was dragged down to hell.
