            "Perhaps I was released," he mused in a sarcastic tone. He brought his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them, resting his chin atop of them with a quiet sigh. He focused his eyes onto the other male, still weary of him, and clicked his tongue before he answered, "Fear is merely a concept created by the mind when the brain feels as if it should be threatened." He rolled his shoulders, one of them popping after he did so. He didn't say anything more regarding fear, though he did sit up a bit straighter. "When would that be necessary, if you don't mind me asking?"

❝ so you've proved my statement by that  .  ❞  it wasn't meant to sound rude or anything like that  ,  it was just the way it came out  .  he'd have apologized if the situation wasn't so amusing and the other didn't scoot back as soon as he stood up  .  
            ❝ do you fear me or something  ,  hon  ?  ❞  he had popped the question after a good moment of stretching  ,  popping back into his chair with grace and sending a lingering stare to the other  .  ❝ ah  ,  many believe i bite but i don't use my teeth unless it's  / absolutely /  necessary  .  ❞  he had snorted while crossing his legs and fiddling with the fabric of his pants while keeping a small eye on the other male to make sure he wasn't about to start running or do anything else that'd result in a fight breaking out  .

            "I'm not going to confirm nor deny that statement," he hummed out, watching the male's every move. When the other stood from where he sat, Knox couldn't quite help scrambling backwards a bit, putting more distance between himself and the other.
            "Nice teeth," he said after a moment while blinking a couple times, a grin tugging at his lips. "Pretty sure you /could/ bite, though. And if you have to tell someone you don't bite, chances are you actually do." He chuckled quietly, tilting his head to the side as he looked the other up and down, continuing to sit on the floor.
