He held her hand as her eyes started to close. He tried to put pressure on the wound that oozed out the red sticky liquid. They leaned against the other side of the barricade, holding each other closely as rain started to fall from the skies. She saved him by taking the bullet that aimed for him, the bullet that came out of the French's guards. "I'm here..." He says, admitting that he can't do anything anymore. "That's all I need to know" she replies weakly. Then she says with all the energy she has left in her dying body "the rain will make the flowers -". She wasn't able to continue for her eyes finally closed, and her chest stopped rising. "-grow" he continues. He slowly lets go of her as he lets his friends carry her petite body to the back, where all the other fighters for their country lay in peace.
