i- ..i don’t really know what’s going on myself, if i’m being honest. i just want to help as best i can. ( lumine’s voice had quieted, tone shifting to something more determined — something more steady. ) a bandage? uhm- let me look- ( she fumbled around, their hands moving through equipment quickly. finding what she was looking for, they turned back to him. ) uh, here. i don’t know how good i am at bandaging, but if you need help i can try.                Head throbbing, a silent groan escaping softly. 
               His body was aching, terribly. 
            He held no recollection of what he was doing, where he was going, but the  bag he held was all he could really depend on. 
             Sitting up, fingers tracing through the dust over his bleeding head, he'd grasp it slightly tight. 
              ❛❛ mng.. it is alright .. I .. what is going ah..❜❜
            Wincing, he'd shut his eyes with a sharp breath. 
              ❛❛ let us calm down .. do you have a bandage .. I could use..? ❜❜

                 Kael wasn’t sure whether speaking the way he used to would still sound charming or just strange now.  There had been a time when every word that left his mouth sounded like it belonged in some melancholic poem , a side effect of the alterations inflicted on his mind rather than a conscious choice.  That version of him had faded with time and corruption.  These days , he spoke much more normally — much like any other person did.  Yet fragments of his old self still lingered beneath the surface.  Despite the resentment he carried for the world and nearly everyone in it , he found himself unable to feel that way toward the man standing before him.  If anything , he had missed him more than he cared to admit.
            
                 Deep down , Kael knew one thing with absolute certainty:  he wasn’t going to lose Nukoyo again.  Not this time.  He wanted him to stay , and the thought rooted itself so deeply in his mind that it became impossible to ignore.  A quiet chuckle escaped him as he lifted a hand to cup the man’s cheek , his thumb brushing gently across his cheekbone.  “ Yes , divine , ”  he murmured.  His voice dropped lower , softer , carrying an unusual warmth.  “ Good.  Because I’m not letting you go anywhere this time. ”  His gaze lingered on him , unwavering.  “ We’re in this together . . .  just like before.  I promise. ”
