          They did a bunch of stuff that many people have 0 clue about- 
          
          They caused Psychological warfare 
          critrized the king, nobles, etc 
           could be either gender! 
           were apart of the court system 
           were hired as assassins often 
           would deliver the bad news to the king and they were the only ones allowed to do this
          would fr just juggle axes, knives, or whatever on battle territory to piss off the enemy and sing retaliation songs for fun
          And that outfit you normally seen them drawn with?? Only beginner jesters wore those 
          The actual jesters would just wear any clothes they wanted (most likely baggy) 
          And some would wear the outfit just for fun or if they wanted to
          Oh and since their outfits are baggy, they can hide weapons in them (which is why they were Great assasins) 
          
          In the court, the king would go to the jester for their Honest opinion and Listen to the court Jester opinion
          They were originally called Fools before getting the name Jester
          The Jester was the only one that could do this to the king and they normally had no fear-
