Hey everybody! I got a bit of a problem...
On Sunday (of March 24th), I lost my phone. I'll tell this story in detail: so, me and my mama went to the nail salon, right? So as I was getting my toes painted, I kept my phone in my hands until we had to leave. Next stop, we went the shoe store. As we were looking at shoes, apparently, I had put it down in a spot (probably by the windows) when I THOUGHT I put it in my purse (note that my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra so it's a little big).
Then, as we were headed and walked inside Walmart to get groceries, I finally noticed my phone wasn't in my purse. I told my mom I probably left it in the car, but when we were leaving, my mom called my phone to see if it was still in the car. Long story short, it wasn't and we just drove home. I was surprisingly calm abt it bc I remembered the "find my phone" thing. I check and an address shows up. A picture of a house and everything (Apparently my cousin recognizes the neighborhood bc she was a friend that lives over there)
So, come Monday, my cousin and my mom went to the house to get the phone and a Mexican man answers the door. He said it wasn't there but we knew he was obviously lying. (why else would the location of your house show up?!) I'm trying to tell my mom to call the police but she says "maybe they'll help, maybe they won't"... like yeah, whatever, I understand that but it can't hurt to try! Luckily, I recently just found out my cousin's boyfriend's cousin is a police officer so maybe he could help.
My phone has sentimental value and it has many important and personal stuff on it like texts, apps AND photos of ME! What if this guy's a creep or smth...
