          	  buddy, i’m fifteen. not a single place will higher me for 6 months, i cannot legally be employed yet. and on the other hand: how would i get to work? busses are not safe in our area, dad, it’s why i haven’t taken one to get to school! cause all the ones over there are bad too!

small confession from when i first read the hunger games in third grade:
          
           i used to think that the tributes who died would be picked up in the helicopters, taken to the capital, and butchered. the coffins that where sent home to be buried would be filled with skeletons if anything. 
          
          truly, i didn’t think that the districts would receive boxes from the capital—they would just have to hold a ceremony with no grave, no anything. if they even wanted to.
          
          and in my defenses, i was in 3rd grade two years before TBOSAS came out and we didn’t quite learn about the caskets until SOTR when Haymitch was shipped home with them.
