This may seem random but I wanna share this with you all
I had a friend over today, who told me that he had feelings for a girl we knew during our Junior year. He told me he was too afraid of telling her since he thought he'd be teased for it. A lot of guys think about this sort of thing and so do women, but here's what I told him
"Having feelings for someone can be confusing, it's not often that you experience these things which may cause you to overthink the outcome of expressing your feelings for the other person. If you have feelings for someone then it's ok to tell them, and while there's a possibility of being rejected, it doesn't make you any less brave for trying, I know a lot of people who talk a big game about being hot shots or popular gals, but they never express themselves to the ones they hold feelings for. I get why you'd be worried of being teased, and I can understand why you would overthink it, but I think those who do speak out deserve credit for being brave enough to do so."
It was a brief message but I felt like I should share this. Dont be scared to speak your feelings, it doesn't make you a bad person for doing so, it makes you braver if anything.
I hope this helps some of you out there who doubt themselves, have confidence and know that you are braver than you realize!
