“What did you do with them?” Jim glared, as they stared into Blackbeard’s eyes

The crew had gotten into a heated battle with a rival gang of pirates Feeling cold and lime his life was about to expire, Stede laid on the ground, fighting for his life as he held a hand over the stab wound that occupied his ribs. His face twitched and he stared above him, a single tear rolling down his cheek. His breathing became uneven and he could barely speak. "E-Ed...." Was all he managed to breathe out in a faint whisper

Stede nodded and tried relaxing again, his head cleared of all the negative thoughts he might have. He laid back and stared at the ceiling, trying not to lay on his injured side so much and stayed quiet as he tried to relax

“They’re fine, mate. You just worry about yourself for now.” Ed said, adjusting some of the pillows around Stede. Quite frankly, he had no idea how the others were. His attention had been elsewhere.

His smile remained upon hearing Ed´s praises and finally relaxed fully. His mind suddenly raced as he thought of the rest of the crew and looked to Ed with a worried look. ´Where are the others? Are they okay...?´ he askedin a worried tone

“Yeah, I know him. The squid. That explains the smell.” He nodded to himself. “Look, the whole thing you’ve got going, it’s impressive. But it’s not going to work. I’m in a good mood today, so why don’t you just crawl back to the lobster trap you crawled out of. You can tell everyone you met Blackbeard and lived. That’s impressive apparently.”
Truth be told, Ed didn’t have the energy for this today. Today was a day where he just felt old. Not in years but in use. Like a shirt worn too many times, he was thin and stained. All he wanted was a drink and a nap. Not to deal with whatever this woman had going on.

“So you’re…oh right. Nobody.” Blackbeard said, resting his hands on his hips as he looked down at her. This was surprisingly frequent, people came up to him all the time. Usually when people came up to him, it was just to grovel or to fight. People always wanted to fight him. It was only fair he supposed, the man (or woman) to kill Blackbeard would go down in history.
Her age was about right, the ones who wanted to fight were always young. Foolish. That wasn’t a surprise. What was, was that she was a woman. There were a few he’d met, mostly cross-dressers, but they were rare. Women were bad luck on ships.
“Your captain?” He asked, scratching his beard. “Look kid, it’s been a long day. I don’t want to stab your face.”

"Huh... I didn't think that pirates still existed... I really owe an apology to one of Miss Miller's sons now..." He said, still staring at the man who had come onto the cliff-lined beach of the little sea-side town.

            “See… usually she’s friendly and Hardy’s a bit more… standoffish…” the reverend replied

“Thanks, mate, but it’s fine. Everyone’s mum’s yelled at me at some point in me life.” He gave the priest/reverend/vicar/I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten a surprisingly good natured smile.
