          Lizzy stopped what she was doing—which was feeding a random rat she found—and checked the message. She texted back, “What’s the emergency?”

          The shorter redhead continued to sleep peacefully, curling up into a small ball as soon as Michael put her on the couch. Some of her ginger hair fell over her sleeping, freckled face.

          Sophie was definitely sleeping. She had her head resting against Michael’s chest as she slept, the jacket luckily managing to cover her up as the rain poured down.

          Sophie was behind the school, his jacket—which was far too big for her—was wrapped around her. She was also holding a baby Yoda plushie close to her chest. She was sitting down and leaning against the wall with her eyes closed, possibly sleeping. She just wanted to relax—after all, dealing with multiple people having a crush on you in a matter of a couple days is stressful.
