Ok so I was reading reviews of the Warriors album (current hyperfixation), and the people who were saying Swan and Mercy shouldn't have gotten together and should've had a 'sIsTeRsHiP' piss me off. WHY CAN'T WOMEN KISS? WHY MUST THEY BE SISTERS AND FRIENDS! That's exactly why queer representation doesn't exist. Queer relationships are seen as 'forced' or 'not fitting for the story'. Like I know they're running away from horrible and misogynistic men, but that doesn't take away from the fact that they felt attraction to each other.
Also, if I see another person comment on the gender bending I will bend their legs I swear to god. Like these women are being chased down by men who believe they killed someone who they didn't. It's so much stronger that they are women who are trying to do good and getting harassed and catcalled while trying to go home. Men wouldn't get threats thrown at them while trying to catch a train now would they?
