Really quick rant ahead;
          
          Disclaimer, This does not include race and whatnot. I am not someone who is eligible to talk about such topics.
          
          I'm sorry, but I see readers often complain about this and I just wanna clear it out because it also bothers me when I'm writing.
          
          Y/N isn't supposed to be 'relatable' they are an insert and you as the reader is supposed to imagine yourself as them. As if you're in the story (Like what a reader insert actually is) living the life of a characterized you.
          
          You aren't supposed to relate to Y/N, Sure it's a thing but come on. Some authors actually write hardcore dark shit and you're telling me you relate to almost all the things they write? It's not anything wrong at all but you get my point.
          
          Sure, I get that "I'm annoyed at Y/N's personality" shebang and it's fundamentally the author's choice. You as a *reader* have no right to judge and/or harrass the author just because of you are annoyed at Y/N, because it's not your story, You are just meant to be in Y/N's place.
          
          I'm not saying it's not okay to dislike on Y/N's, I dislike like half of the Y/N's I have ever read before and it's fine. I just think people should tone it down when it comes to reader inserts because not every author can cater to whatever a 'relatable' Y/N is to you.
