The strawberry-blonde woman held a flashlight in her hand, the other hand being held out next to her in a protective manner. A child, around ten, was behind her, a knife in hand, following the woman closely. They had wandered into an abandoned shopping centre in hopes of finding needed materials for their camp, which only held a fraction of their original group after the crusade came through. A friend of Emery’s had let the pair go on a run in order to give the mother a break from the newborn twins, knowing that she and Lorraine would be safe. For a ten-year-old, Lorraine was rather smart, having been on runs more often than Emery. The two walked into an aisle that had cans, Lorraine looking through the food while Emery kept watch around them. “Shove anything into the cart, unless the can’s been damaged,” her mother muttered, earning a nod from the child. However, Emery stammered, her eyes widening when she heard a slight commotion, causing her to step back and closer to Lorraine. “If an infected walks by, I’ll take care of it,” she whispered.

@-RUNNING Lorraine held the bunny to her chest, her hands cupping around its head in an embrace. “I thought I lost you- I-I thought I lost my Daddy again…” she began to stammer, hiccuping words out while tears began to overrun her cheeks, “I thought Mama and I would be all alone again,” she sobbed, reaching out for Erwin so she could hug him again. Her arms wrapped tightly around him, her grip screaming that she was afraid to let go; she was terrified that this was just another nightmare, that if she opened her eyes again, she’d be back in the cabin alone. “You’re-” she paused, taking a deep breath to slow her crying, “You’re gonna come back with us, right?” The woman gently held Erwin, one of her hands holding his head while the other was wrapped around him and Lorraine. She could tell how much he missed her, and she hoped that he could tell how much she had missed him. Similarly, she wasn't good at expressing how she felt due to how she was raised, but here, in a situation where she was reunited with the man she loved? She couldn't help but cry and hold onto him like the world depended on it. “Yeah- Twins. It was unexpected, but they're both healthy,” she answered, nuzzling her head against his. “I love you…”

♤-ˏ✎ @-Shadow_Shifter- Erwin had gratefully hugged Lorraine, gently placing a quick kiss to her forehead, shaking his head as he listened to her. "No, no, I had to know my family was safe." He mumbled softly, before smiling - the expression tired yet genuine. "I'm glad you like it, I'm glad." The man mumbled. He was more than glad - he was estatic to have seen both of them live and well; he wanted to jump around, laugh and cry all at once, but, Erwin always struggled with expressing himself - and he was comforting them. Erwin gently leaned upwards and pecked Emery's cheeks, resting his face into her neck. He took in a soft breath, easing. It'd been so long since he'd felt that - felt her warmth, the comfort and her scent had obviously reminded him of that. He gently nuzzled the woman's neck, before freezing. He pulled away slightly, wide-eyed. "Twins?" He asked quietly, before frantically shaking his head, "No, no, it's okay, I'm here."

@-RUNNING The young girl only seemed to sob into Erwin’s chest/shoulder, since she was significantly shorter than the man. However, when he pulled away and kneeled, she sniffled, wiping her eyes while she tried to look at Erwin. “Ma- Ma and I were so scared that you were dead,” she mumbled, but her crying seemed to slow down when he showed her the stuffed rabbit. Delicately, she took it, her other hand running over it before she hugged it tightly to herself. “Thank you, I love it,” she muttered, reaching out to hug him again. Emery gently cupped his cheeks, pecking his forehead while she silently cried, “No- no, they’re safe. Uh- Naomi’s watching them for me; I had two healthy baby girls,” she hummed, resting her head on top of his. “I was so worried about you- I wanted to search, but rarely could I leave the camp. When the others went on runs, I begged them to look for you.”
