Grinning widely, Cayne rocks back on her heels a little bit, listening to her family’s banter as they speak to the two outsiders. Even as the ‘king’ speaks, attempting to threaten and browbeat them, Cayne’s grin doesn't waver.
Only when the realization that he is insulting her Hyperion registers does her grin fall into a dark scowl of menace.
Her scowl turns to mirth again almost immediately though, upon Raven’s attempt to shut them down. ‘an angel wolf hybrid’? She thinks the words, doesn’t say them, but her amusement and total lack of being intimidated surely show in her eyes. She opens her mouth to say something to that effect, but Hyperion speaks before she can.
The sound of the recording is pure amusement, and she revels in the way her brother uses the other being’s own words against them. At Hyperion’s final command, Cayne does her best to wipe the smile from her face.
She doesn't want to make it seem as if they’re validating the ‘king Lash’s words about bowing to Hyperion, but he is the oldest and above all, the most respected. He is their leader, and Cayne is, above all, loyal.
She shuts her mouth and straightens her shoulders, staring steadily at the two beings not of her family, as if she no longer has any care for what they say and do.
