Romances:
          
          Kevin Keller- The first few episodes are Kevin dealing with the heartbreak of Joaquin. There might be a new love interest that comes into play for Kevin. Kevin has to heal his heart first because he's a delicate soul.

          Josie McCoy- Josie might have a romantic relationship with Reggie Mantle.

          Betty and Jughead- With Jughead going to Southside and stepping into serpent territory it's very scary for Betty and she doesn't want to lose her man and also doesn't want him to get into any danger. It becomes more of a Romeo and Juliet situation that Betty hopes has a happy ending, they both do. 
          They're might be a pink leather jacket in Betty's future (). The relationship will definitely be tested especially through the first real narrative of the second season it's one of those things where now more than ever the way the character's lives are progressing is really stressful and its dark. Jughead is one of those characters that really gets tested the most by the world around him and that puts betty in a position of possible judgement where she and her morality have to make the choice of either being their for this kid or call a quits.

New Faces of Riverdale- Supergirl star Brit Morgan will be coming in as Penny Pebotty. My Babysitter's a Vampire star Vanessa Morgan will play Toni Topaz on Riverdale.
          
          
          Toni Topaz- She's a student at South Side High she's a Southside Serpent. She's sort of Jughead's guide into the serpent world. There's a lot about her that makes it seem like she's got a lot of the same interests of Jughead, she's like a female Jughead. She's trouble getting jughead into this gang, trouble for bughead.

Archie and Hiram's relationship- They have a really cool relationship. It's tense and scary for Archie. Dating his daughter he's skeptical of that and he's a hard man. 
          
          
          
          Veronica- There's another man from Veronica's past comes to Riverdale. An ex from New York is coming and he's a bad boy. He brings out Veronica's dark side.

Veronica Lodge- The father daughter bond with Veronica and Hiram is layered . There's a side of Veronica that wants to know that he's better now and that's he's going to try to be a good person but at the same time he's still doing the same things he's always doing and keeping secrets with Hermione and their not letting Veronica cross that bridge and she's trying to get to them and be like let me be part of this family I wanna be a Lodge and I want to help.

Betty Cooper- Last season we saw some dark Betty this season it's more of tortures soul Betty. It's heart wrenching for the character. Explore the darkness a lot more and we see Betty come to terms with it a little bit more in season two rather than just try and cover it with a black wig. 
          
          As Betty goes throught this darkness she finds a different comfort in all her friends, but you do see more of Betty and Archie's friendship and their support system. They have been best friends their whole lives and that's something we really get to see in season two. 
          
          
          We will see Betty loosen her ponytail a bit this season.

Jughead Jones-  Season 2 Jughead is placed in the middle of 2 world's that are starting to collide and erupt. As the season progress it's going to force him to pick a side which is a dangerous space for him to be in because he's a morally gray character. It's going to have huge repercussions for his narrative and his relationships with the rest of the cast .
          
          
          Relationship with Betty- It gets tested. His character is now very much the outsider. He started as a kind of foreign character at the beginning of season one and now he's physically away from the entire cast which is a strange place for him to be in. 
          
          
          Jughead is not going to embrace the serpents and his new high school "friends" as easily as he assumes. He has an idea of fitting in, he thinks he's quite a special snowflake and he'll stand out. A problem with a dangerous system like south side high is standing out can be physically threatening. We'll start seeing that narrative in hard core special snowflake Jughead.
