I’ve just now finished playing Pokémon Gold, and what can I say, it was amazing in every way. The Johto games have always and will forever have a special place in my heart. I’ve played Heartgold several times over since it first came out. When you’re playing a game like this, do you ever have that feeling like you truly connect to it? Like you’re in the world. You are the world. The world is real to you. That’s what I feel every time I pick up one of the gen II games or its remakes. Heartgold was the very first game I experienced that with, which made it unforgettable. Beautiful music, amazing story, adjective after adjective of what this game is. If you haven’t played a gen II game or Pokémon in general, play Heartgold/Soulsilver. It will blow your mind.
