            I remember that quote, now you got me wanting a roleplay between them so I can give Nero a bunch of soft and sweet moments with her.

            his smile was a real beacon of hope, and it guided her onto the right path of finding unconditional love, the same that she's been yearning to give all of this time..

taken aback by his charming optimism, kira looked stunned for a moment when he pulled back from their embrace, her eyes glistening with a joy she fought so hard to find and ran away from at the same time—yet with nero, it took him seconds to bring it out of her from deep within. she didn't have time to respond before he placed another gentle kiss on her lips, leaning into it before she seemed even more surprised by his next question.
            
            she let out a half-chuckle, somewhere between surprise and amusement. her smile warm, but teasing just the same. just enough to mask the overwhelming joy she felt in the moment—in her eyes, in her smile, in her heart. "what—how are /you/ the lucky one? darling, you're like a blinding light in my shrouding darkness. your smile lights up every room. the way you speak so highly of people and give them—and give me..." 
            
            her lightly trembling hands rose to cup his face into her hands, admiring his radiant smile with tears of joy streaming from her face. in what felt like forever, she revealed true, genuine bliss in her smile—her mouth agape as she gave him a wide, close-eyed grin. "you give me something to look forward to, for the rest of my life."
            
            once she opened her eyes again, they only flooded with more tears. she couldn't contain how happy she felt in this moment. his genuineness.. his smile, it was so moving. "to love you. to love that adoring smile of yours, to love your heart.. your pain, and your fears.. and especially all of your scars. I will love every part of you for the rest of my life, nero. let this be a promise."
            
            she moved in to kiss him again—but this time it came slower, gentle, and with certainty. not heavy with passion, or lust—just truth, that this kiss would bind her promise into each of their hearts. her lips pressed softly against his, a soft yearning for the life she promised to look after. it was as if in this moment, nero broke down the final wall. he fought through to find her, and brought her into the light.

            Nero let out a sigh of relief, despite kiras previous thoughts and how she'd affect his life- right now and even before she had left, it was all positive impacts and nothing negative. It's why Nero was still there after all, fighting for her because he knew that she was worth it.
            
            Feeling that warm embrace of hers, he'd let out a small chuckle at her joke. Though Nero wouldn't live forever, he'd be reborn over and over again but that didn't matter because he'd always fall for Kira in this universe, his heart would find its way back to her and that thought left the Boy with a optimistic look on each life. 
            
            "Then let's keep loving each other as we both learn to love ourselves, it seems a bit difficult but nothing in life ever is."
            He said as he pulled back from the embrace looking into those eyes of hers before placing another kiss on her lips. 
            "How'd I ever get so lucky? Meeting someone as amazing as you and being with you..Ha-..I love you, Kira."
            He declared with a big smile, the one that was true and pure, one that carried the best part of him-..No, all of him despite the pain and trauma. 
            
            It was his real smile.

the warmth of his kiss still lingered on her lips even after he pulled away. it was soft, affectionate, and full of everything that she had spent years convincing herself she didn't deserve. it wasn't fear that stirred within her now, it was desire. not just for his touch, but for him. for a future with him. for a chance to make it right.
            
            kira's breath trembled as she looked up at him, but her eyes had changed. they were no longer panicked or guarded, but instead had a new light shining in them. a light that he gave to her. "you say that like I haven't accepted you, darling," she spoke softly, a small smile tugging at her lips. "I have always accepted you. every scar. every broken piece of you. every stupid, reckless thing you've done trying to save the world when I.. I just wanted you to save yourself." there it was. the reason she was so scared. because he deserved better than what she thought she could give.
            
            "it's me that I never knew how to love. it's me that.. I've always wanted to run from." she delicately brought her hand up to his cheek, brushing aside the wet strands of hair stuck to his face. her touch was gentle and caring. "but when you kissed me, I didn't feel like I was running anymore. it made me feel safe."
            
            she stepped into him, closing the space between them entirely. her body pressed softly against him, her eyes fluttering closed as she got to relive the most perfect moment she ever had the honor of living. to be in nero's warm embrace, feeling safe and cared for as if nothing else in the world had mattered. he was her peace in the storm. and this was it. this time to reminisce gave her enough motivation, enough drive to stay put this time. she would do anything to mend his broken heart and protect it with everything she had to give.
            
            "..thank you," she whispered. "for believing in me. I promise, I will always fight for you. you are worth fighting for. your love is worth fighting for. and I wouldn't have it any other way."

            There it was again- the what ifs and I don'ts, it wasn't annoying but to an extent it was frustrating but even then it was Kira..knowing who she was and the stuff she's been through, he couldn't blame her for speaking like this. Each word was something that Nero had heard, listening closely and knowing what to exactly say in this moment. 
            
            "Kira...Everyone has a mess behind them, burdens that they carry and feelings they bury deep within themselves. It's not just in your nature to be that way but all of humanity acts that way deep down but..we are also people that are capable of caring. We could sit here for hours but instead I'll simplify it into words that can be said right here and now.."
            He said shifting down into a different position, without a word his lips pressed against hers with a soft and warm feeling that felt as though it could wash away anything. He lingered for a few seconds before pulling back slightly. 
            
            "I CARE about you, Kira. I'm going to stay here while you learn, while you change and even on those days where you can't stand to be here- I'll be right here because I am in love with YOU. Being in love with you means being patient, caring for you and allowing you to accept me when you feel like you're ready...I'm here for you, I understand what those feelings are like even if our ways of handling it are different."
            He spoke in a tone that wasn't loud or demanding, it was one of pure reassurance that came from the heart. 

kira's breath caught in her throat. there it was, the response she feared from him deep down. she already saw this coming, but it didn't feel any easier hearing it from him. his words melted through every barrier she had fought so hard to put up. the distance, the years, the silence.. none of it seemed to matter now. despite everything she did to keep him safe from herself, nero still loved her. deeply. irrationally. unconditionally.
            
            she looked up to see him standing before her, catching a glimpse of his eyes that made her heart melt. the soft look in his eyes, his calm stature.. she fell in love with him all over again as if no time has passed by. "I.. I don't deserve this," she whispered, her voice breaking against him. "I don't deserve you, nero."
            
            but instead of moving away, she allowed herself to stay. to find comfort in his presence instead of running. to feel his warmth and let it serve as reminder to be something she will fight for. her trembling hands reached up to hold onto him, her fingers curled into the fabric of his drenched shirt, clutching it tightly as if it was the only thing keeping her grounded. 
            
            "y-you say your heart knows what it wants.. but what if mine is broken? what if I can't give you everything that you deserve? what if.. I'm still learning how to love without hurting?" she asks, her voice so quiet that it nearly drowned in the rain. but there was a shift in her tone this time. instead of looking down a dark path, she sounded hopeful. she sounded confident in her ability to do better. this was something that she want—no, needed. no more running away.
            
            she pulled back slightly to look at him, her ruby eyes searching his glowing blue ones for an answer she already knew deep down but needed to hear again. she couldn't do this alone. "if I try.. if I stay.. will you really be here for me? always? even on the days.. when I can't promise to be okay?"
