            “How am I undeserving of a punishment? You know what happened, don’t you?” 
            He murmured in response, eyes traveling across the floor. Why would nobody believe that this is what he truly deserved? Surely they knew what he did, why wouldn’t they punish him?

            "you have been turned away at your requests of a punishment several times from the others. how many times must we say no? you are undeserving of a punishment. this decision is final."
            she stared down at him with a mixture of annoyance, pity, sorrow and aggravation. how many times must it be repeated?

            ted shook his head, now refusing to talk as he hugged henrys shoulder and whined quietly. then he started thinking. did koopa miss him? or was it unphased? uh oh.

            “Why were you going back there bud? It’s not too safe, y’know?” 
            Henry murmured, relieved to have Ted somewhat calmed down from earlier. He offered his sleeve to the sniffling kid, trying to be as gentle and quiet as he could as to not start another meltdown.

            he finally calmed down after 10 more minures of his meltdown, going quiet and occasionally sniffling and whining. ted held onto henry tightly, his eyes still watering a little. he just wanted to see his friend.

            "he mmakes me very happy! but he's acting really weird about all those poor kiddos who went missing in the new place. ive looked everywhere and tried to look at the cameras, but i can't find anything with them from that day. or anything from that day in general, the tape is missing. but i can't find any trace of them anywhere and i feel real horrible about it.."

            “Oh really ? He sounds wonderful . He makes you happy , doesn’t he ?”
            He murmured , adjusting his watch and biting the inside of his lip in order to not blurt out something he might regret . Henry had to be rational ; maybe the other version of William wasn’t evil , but it was hard to imagine him being a good person in any scenario .

            "yyeah, hes amazing! um, yesterday he took me out to have dinner and it was ffantastic."
            henry smiled, only having positive opinions of william at the moment. except the whole thing with his kids, which he hated. why would you have 3 kids when you only slightly favor one? should've just had one kid.

            No , they weren’t , Will . I took care of them after my wife left , I had no other choice . Take a look at it from my eyes - what would you have done ? I was trying to be a good father , a father that spent some time with his family once in a while . A father that cared for his children .. I loved them , Will , and I loved you too . I trusted you . Now that you’ve done this I .. I don’t know what to think anymore . ( he murmured , taking a few breaths to steady himself . )

            you’re kids were in the damn way.   they were a nussiance.   that is ALL they ever were to you.    (  hos voice grew cold as he spoke.  he didn’t mean it to sound like that.. but, couldn’t help it. if he makes Henry mad, then oh well. too late to take his words back now anyways. but William really was just speaking the cold truth.   they are annoying little brats. pesks,   even.  )

            I never spoke of them around you , Will , and I did as I was asked . What more could you possibly want from me ? ( he tensed up even more as he was brought closer , turning his head away and bringing his hands away from the clingy man . His eyes were full of tears and his vision was blurry as he looked at some far away object , his glasses beginning to fog up the slightest . ) I don’t understand why you would do something like this , Will ..

            william smiled at him cruelly as his eyes darkened with sick pleasure, ❝ how is it?.. the coffee machine was a bit... broken so I wouldn't be surprised if it tasted ' odd '.. ❞ he mumbled while walking over to henry. the man managed to convince himself that what he's doing is for helping henry go to sleep, he just couldn't accept that what he did was something incredibly terrible.

            “Mm , thank you , Will .” Henry gratefully took it , flashing a small smile in return before bringing it up to his lips and tilting the cup back the slightest . He pulled it away a few seconds later , looking at it with a confused frown . It tasted a bit off .. but maybe it was just his mind being odd . The man shrugged it off and sipped at the coffee once again .

            the man came back inside the office holding a hot cup of coffee for his co-worker and smiled warmly at him. he gave him the cup and tried to prevent making it obvious that he had no intention of innocently giving his friend some coffee. ❝ here you go henry...~ ❞
